While it poured all morning and part of the afternoon this year, the weather turned out beautiful in the evening. Our Easter started off at Jason's mom's/grandparents' house. We spent the night so that we could all have dinner together the previous evening, and breakfast in the morning followed by an egg hunt. Yes, we even get an egg hunt. Jason's mom take plastic eggs (or in this case, plastic "jelly beans") and puts a couple quarters in them, and then hides them in the living and dining rooms. And she hides them really well, too! It generally takes us about an hour to find all the eggs, and with hints at the end, too. The quarters we use for laundry money. After taking Cadbury home (she had come to play the part of the Easter Bunny, her name is Cadbury after all) and taking our showers, we headed down to the Lakehouse to see the rest of the family. It was great to see everyone, and the babies are bigger everytime we see them.
We put Jason's Kangol hat on Gregory, and he looked awesome. He didn't even seem to mind the hat if it was on backwards. When the brim was in the front, it would be too heavy and fall down to cover his face. While this was really cute, Gregory would yank the hat off and then try to eat it.
I made two kinds of pie for dessert, and everybody really enjoyed them, which was great.
After dinner, Dad worked on corrupting Padon, by having him pull his finger.
And we had a beautiful sunset to finish off the day.
Just before Jason and I left to head home, the boys and the dog joined together in a howling chorus.
Then we went home and went to bed. And that was our Easter.
