Nova Light Media

Jason's friends Clyde and Tyler started their own film company they named Nova Light Media. They're both very talented guys and Jason helps them out on shoots every once in a while, but the three of them also work on different film stuff together, like creating and filming their screenplays and lots of shorts. Our apartment has been used a couple times for shoots.

Jason met Clyde when he was taking film production classes at Shoreline Community College and Clyde was the guy in that ran the editing room. They've been good buddies ever since and collaborated on quite a few projects.

"Bobo Jenkins is Up to Something" was created for the UW's 24 Hour Film Festival in 2003 and was filmed in my old house and Jason's mom's house. They were given a prop: the bear, and a line that they had to use: "It was all a lie, except for that," and the overall theme was survival. Jason wrote the script on a napkin using a chopstick dipped in hot sauce. I think they won second place, but they think that was because everybody started clapping when the screen went dark, and they missed, as Jason calls it, "the best part."



Where was I going with this?

Oh! So, they're doing pretty well. They're working for City Search filming promotional videos for companies around the area, like Cowgirls Inc.:



and last weekend they filmed a video of a fundraiser that was held for the Ronald McDonald House by the Seattle Sounders, Expedia, Starbucks, XBOX, and some other companies at the Highway 99 Blues Club. They filmed interviews of the executives and even some of the players of the Sounders. It was pretty cool. Although, while doing an interview outside, Jason almost took out the eye of an executive of Expedia with the boom. Oops! :D But I caught it, and everybody was okay.

Currently, Clyde is filming, and Jason is helping out, for Maxim Magazine. Maxim is holding a Hometown Hotties contest online, and Clyde and Jason are putting together footage for the videos that will be placed online. When they get posted, I'll link them here. There's some hot stuff!

Although, while we were filming (I say "we," I sat in the grass and read my book and held the leash of the chick's dog. :P) at Gas Works Park, the chick was being all hot and stuff and taking off the top layer of her shirt and was drawing the attention of some hobos near by. One of them wouldn't let her go without getting an autograph after she made the mistake of telling them what we were filming for.
