This is a little ridiculous, but the rabbits are still sick. Both of them.
Snoopy has been on the bicillin (combi-pen is how it's written on the bottle) for just over two months and not a whole lot, if any, has changed since the last update. He seems to be sneezing just as frequently, and you will see snot sometimes, but generally you just feel it all over Cadbury's back. However, before we started the bicillin, the fur around his nose and on his front feet were always matted from the snot. Now, they are nice and soft and fuzzy. Though his nose is still wet, which is gross when he wipes it on you. I also had a scare when his right eye, the side that seems to be the problem, got really runny and the fur was a big wet stripe down to his nose. But that seems to have cleared up and he is good. In that regard, anyway.
As for Cadbury, she hasn't changed either. The little "abscesses" or whatever they are are still there. The look like big whiteheads and the doctor took a little needle and punctured each one and "drained" them by squishing out the white stuff and then rubbing them with alcohol. I also noticed a very small bump that just appeared one day and pointed it out to the vet. She poked and drained it and said that it looked like a cyst. While it hasn't seemed to change anything, Cadbury is also staying on the bicillin. We're supposed to rub the "abscess" area daily with alcohol, probably to stay any infection that might come about from the punctures.
They're also both being put on some prescription anti-inflammatory "ear" drops (they're really people eye drops - Flurbiprofen). I'm not sure how this will help Cadbury, but if it helps, then hey! Whatever works! Snoopy, on the other hand, has some really waxy ears and they've been giving him some trouble lately so the vet cleaned them out and thinks these drops will help.
I was especially pleased because she only charged us for Cadbury's exam and didn't even charge us for the ear cleaning. I thought that because she took a closer look at Snoopy rather than just our normal verbal stuff about how he's been doing, and did the ear cleaning, that there'd be an extra $50 on the bill, but no! Yay! :D
Now we just need to call her in two weeks to let her know how the ear drops are working and make another appointment for another check-up in a couple months.

Oh man! WHat a drag.
Oh my goodness! I had no ideas rabbits could even GET sick like that!!! Im so sorry! hang in there...
GoTime: :D I've actually heard that a few times before, but if you think about it, rabbits aren't much different from cats and dogs, or even us.
We're all mammals with very intricate systems, so anything that could happen to you, happens to them. Just... differently. :P
Snoopy pretty much just has a cold he can't kick, and Cadbury is still recovering from one heck of an earache that led to other problems.
Hopefully this will all be over soon. :)
Poor, poor babies...
