Jason and I want a Great Dane. We really, really want a Great Dane. But in our little apartment, with our pet limit of two, besides the fact that they don't allow dogs, we can't have one. A Great Dane would actually be fine in an apartment, really, because they're as perfectly happy laying on the couch as they are running around, just as long as you take them out too. All they want is to be with you. But we'd rather have a house and a yard for a dog, along with being financially stable to afford their big bills, like food, toys, vet bills, and insurance.
Anyway, we met up with the Marymoor Great Danes group on a Sunday at the Marymoor Dog Park. They're just a group of Great Dane owners who meet up every Sunday afternoon at the dog park to chat and visit, and let their pups play around together. We had so much fun.
In the picture, laying on top of Jason, is Mickey, a Blue Harlequin, who is around two years, and about 165 pounds. Jason fell in love. He had been kneeling on the ground in front of him, rubbing his head and neck, but Mickey got closer and closer until he knocked him over. It was so funny, it still makes me laugh.

Jason would like to have a Harlequin, and I would like to have a Blue (solid, not Harlequin). We'll have to get two! We're just doing our research now and trying to save money. Maybe some time next year we could be ready for a Dane, and then we'll just have to choose our breeder.
