After participating in the March for Babies walk, we all headed back to Sarah and Wayne's for Greg's first birthday party, where we had cupcakes and presents waiting and Sarah made dinner.
Chloe and Walter got Greg this great rocker that transforms as he grows. And Greg loved it.
It looks like he may even have a little bit of Pat in him, as Greg was enjoying pulling on the wheel and seeing how it worked.
The boys also seemed to enjoy the opportunity to play together and Greg shared his toys.

Greg is walking now, and it was fun to watch him toddle around the house.

Then it was time for presents, and Mom (Grandma) helped Greg to unwrap them. He was pretty tired from the long day and wasn't really interested, but once she got his attention, he was focused.

Mom (Grandma) got him this little Cookie Monster, and he seemed to really like the feel of it.
Then was time for cupcakes and candles.

This was the first time that Greg's had any real amount of sugar, and he didn't seem to know what to do with it. After the first few bites, which Greg would continue to just hold in his cheeks like a hamster, he got the shakes from the sugar rush.
Here's Greg, a little sleepy and a little dazed from all the sugar, and the gift that Pat and Catharine gave him. It's a Leap Frog worm that has all kinds of settings. Depending on which setting you have it on, it can play the alphabet, songs associated with each letter, and spell out and sound out words.
After presents and cupcakes, everyone played a little bit of Rock Band.
Even Greg wanted in on the action.
And Greg wanted more sugar.
And Padon liked his hat.
And Roadie just wanted a nap after such an eventful day.
It was a great day.
